At the end of the welcome assembly the older pupils presented each of the teachers a small gift and a gift for the school. We hope that they all enjoyed their visit to Scotland and will come back again some time in the future.

Everyone at Ednam had a really great time with them and have enjoyed their visit a lot.  The pupils in particular enjoyed meeting and working with our European colleagues. They were introduced to a very pleasant custom that they are more likely to find in other European countries, when they presented the gifts.  See how they got on.

Classes also demonstrated the songs and dances they learned with our visitors, and they all did very well given they had only had a little practice.  Thanks go to our guests who worked extremely well with our pupils who have all enjoyed and benefitted from the experience.

At the end of the visit our group visited the nearby town of Jedburgh.  When we were there we visited the old jail on top of the hill, which is preserved as a visitor attraction with information on how life was in the 1800s.  No one was locked up and everyone enjoyed there visit.
